HELL YA! TONIGHT @ THE ECHO (Wednesday July 16th)

TOMORROW NIGHT Hell Ya! will present The Monolators, The Rolling Blackouts, Spider Problem, and The Growlers at The Echo.

All four bands on the band absolutely rock. Not just rock.......RAWK. This will definitely be a show not to miss.

As always the Hell Ya Deejays will be on hand spinning the best new indie rock.

Admission is only $5 and is 18 yrs+! Come and hang out with us! Set times are below.

PS. It's Shayne from Spider Problem's birthday is this week. Please buy her lots and lots of drinks at the show.

Yeah he does! I almost tripped up the stairs of club 86 last night when I saw Bret at the decks - - - I said to Ana 'hey wow that guy looks like Bret from Flight Of The Conchords! Funny!' and she's all 'It Is!' HAHAHA
I turned into a 15 yr old girl, all giggles and giddy, wanting a photo for my new default. So before I dorked out and asked for a pic, i ran into the girls bathroom to fix my hair, makeup & make sure my perfume/deodorant was holding up . . . (i always have a mini febreze spritzer just incase!!)
Even though it was 99 degrees in the womens restroom, i gave myself a quick bouffant (thanks cass for the lessons! i love it!) so here is the results - - i'm really happy with the turnout - - it looks like we are a cute couple or something: (wishful thinking!)


Don't we look good together? Yeah i think so too. Bret, call me, and i'll give you that tour of Capitol Records that i promised. (that's my usual pickup line - - - 'hey do you want to go to the roof of the Capitol Records tower?? um yeah - I could hook that up! Lets go!') WORKS EVERY TIME!

It's my b-day and i'm having all my new favorite bands on one bill! Come on down to Spaceland and celebrate with me!

Grand Ole Party show this Monday!

Don't miss Grand Ole Party playing the Ascap show this MONDAY @ The Troubadour! They are amaaaaazing! I've written about them before HERE, HERE, & HERE, and they have played 2 HELL YA! Nights, one with Pop Levi & the other opening for CSS! Expect big things! Kristin is a star. Not too many people pull off the double duty of Lead Vocals & Drums!

I'd hedge my bets that I'm going to be at the EchoPlex AGAIN this weekend. (I was just there DJing for The Walkmen show on Saturday. Which reminds me - why the F didn't The Walkmen play "Wake Up"? Um, you aren't Radiohead and "Wake Up" isn't CREEP, why not give the people what they want!) Anywhoo . . . have you been to this new venue yet? It's HUGE. Plus it's really pretty inside. You kinda forget you are in the basement of the Echo in Echo Park!

Thanks to Jennifer over @ ASCAP who told me about this Silver Lake Film Festival shindig this weekend. Who knew there were bands playing at a Film Festival? I didn't! I'd reccomend going this FRIDAY.
