anyhooooo . . . here's a few live show reviews from the past week:

Last Thursday night Hell Ya! got to present the CHROMEO & FLOSSTRADAMUS Sold Out show @ the Echoplex!! It was jam-packed full of action. So many kids, so little A/C. Sweat-Sweat-Sweat Drippin Off . . . especially when CHROMEO played Bonafied Lovin'!! That song should be a radio hit!

Last night I saw 2 great shows @ the Echo/Echoplex. First up was my favorite LA band
CASTLEDOOR who played upstairs as main support for BISHOP ALLEN. (PAGE FRANCE had to cancel due to Van troubles) Castledoor were amazing as always - they seem to get better every time I see them. I'm completely obsessed with their new song "Shoutin' At Mountains". (see video below)

After Castledoor I went downstairs to the Echoplex to see M.I.A. (thanks JG!!) Could M.I.A. be any hotter? What I would give to have even 1/3 of her beauty/talent/dance moves . . .

SONNY JIM - I agree with ROUGH TRADE when they said his track "Can't Stop Moving" is catchier than chickenpox! Sonny Jim reminds me of a cross between Mark Ronson, Negativeland & Lemon Jelly. Expect to hear this track on every DJ specialty show, music blog, mixtape, all summer long . . .
