(fun fact! i remember owning this as one of my very first cassettes. i think i stole it from my dad perhaps - - did i? hmmmm. all i remember is rewinding the tape so many times to try and learn all the words, but never actually getting it down. the tape would always break. the first cassette tape i was allowed to listen to in the car was the Oak Ridge Boys 'Elvira'. The writing was already on the wall - haha - i was destined to get a job in the music biz, seeking out new music so that I can expose the kids of today with more jems like 'Elvira' and 'We didn't start the Fire'. haha Oak Ridge Boys 'Elvira' - - hahaha! wow looks like my taste hasn't changed a bit! haha)

Holy Hell Ya! Nights . . . This Thursday, Next Thursday, etc....

I am so excited about this thursday - - I have been so f-ing busy that I haven't even been able to blog, read the la weekly, listen to new hot tunes on other blogs, etc.. all of my regular routine. I've actually been in the studio with the band I signed - DUKES OF DAVILLE - which is the most exciting part of my job. I love just being there, being a fly on the wall and watching the magic happen. I can't wait till this record comes out, it will be so exciting. My first big project, and it's really really really really really really good. I'm not just saying that because I work on it - - I'm a fan first, A&R / Label person 2nd.

So . . . back to this thursday night! All I can say is, PITTSBURGH SLIM is the SHIT pass it on! I am so excited to represent the 412 and have SLIM on this Hell Ya! night. Plus - - he has a new track with Cisco Adler, who has been busy producing, promoting and being in the band Shwayze etc.. They might just do a secret track together - - fingers crossed!

Looks like I'm bringing the Sunset Strip to the ECHO - - HELL YA.

First off - a bigggggggg time thank you to STEVE BRIGHT over at the Apple Store in Glendale! He saved my life - well he literally saved my computer - which is my life. So while my Powerbook is in Computer Rehab for too many illegal downloads (jk - i just really beat that thing up!) I now have this new AMAAAAZING Macbook - it's Black and beautiful. sooooo many new features, my brother PHIL just somehow connected with my computer and could take over the screen via IM. what a great feature - especially for computer retards like me, who can't even figure out how to send an email from my .mac account! haha
anyhoo - - i'm back with my new computer and all i want to do is work/blog/and surf the net!
