I love a huge ego with my rockstars. :) You should remember the name, as you may want to drop it sometime when you want to look cool when asked what you are listening to . . . It seems even Kanye West stole his sunglasses to complete his new hipster look.

to be honest, i'm more of a Kanye West fan than 50 Cent, but this track is undeniable. Plus anything including JT & Timbaland is a guaranteed Hit by my standards.
I wonder who will sell more records . . . Kanye or 50? My bet would be on Kanye, what do you think?
Eagle Seagull are from Nebraska and have my vote for favorite Band name + Song Title of the year! (They might have had 'song of the year' too if it weren't for the long ass indie-outro ending! o well - i just skip over it and hit repeat anyways!) THIS SONG IS SO GOOD I CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO IT! It's addicting like SPOON 'I Turn My Camera On'. I've even caught myself air-drumming to this song . . . which is extra embarrassing. Consider yourself warned!
Eagle Seagull was big on the Blogosphere from their last album. It was WAYYYYYYYYYYY too Indie for me, as are most bands charting in the top 10 on elbo.ws & hype machine. I look at blog aggregator charts only to see what I should stay away from!
I predict some big-time Critical Indier Than Thou Acclaim when this album drops. I hope to book this band for a HELL YA! night or BOYS CLUB! when they come through LA.
I've been a fan of ERIC HUTCHINSON for years, ever since my high school buddy Steve Basilone turned me on to his music. It looks like Eric is finally getting the attention he deserves! He was mentioned on PEREZ HILTON today - that is HUGE! Check it here:

Funny how one day your band can be signed to a major label, dropped from the label after playing a bad show, then signed again to a different major label after Timbaland adds a killer beat to your already huge hit of a song . . . that's what happened to ONE REPUBLIC. Good times. Who's the man? Um yeah, turns out, it's Timbaland.

I had an amazing today today. I can't stop smiling. First off, after 3 years of working at a major record label, as of TODAY, I signed my first band! This is HUGGGE news, especially because it was a band that I SIGNED to my own indie record label! HELL YA! Records!
So that's a double YAYYY. If you haven't listened to Dukes Of Daville already, check it out now!

On top of finally feeling validated at my job by signing my first band to Capitol, I am super excited to see my boyfriend tomorrow - who has been touring for nearly a month. (dating a musician is really HARD!) I'm constantly missing him, but it is true that distance makes the heart grow fonder. I would rather been in a hard situation with him, than an easy situation with somebody else.
I'm going to try to start a new feature on this blog called SONG OF THE DAY. This may or may not happen every day, but only when I hear a song that makes me compelled enought to write about it! So . . . first up is a shocker. Stay with me. Have you heard the new Linkin Park single called 'Shadow Of The Day'? I heard on KROQ today and fell in love with the song before I realized it was Linkin Park!! HAHA. By the time I figured it out, I was already sold and ready to hear it on repeat. Who is responsible for this gem? Why Rick Rubin of course!! He did it again! How did he turn a band I wrote off years ago, into a band I put on my Hell Ya! mixes and blog?!? Same thing happened when I heard the Dixie Chicks.
